IMPORTANT:  The Carbondale Residential will be discontinued June 1, 2024.  The Carbondale to Murphysboro will be reduced to one bus and weekend service discontinued.  Riders are to schedule a ride at least one day advance of their ride, Same Day Service ends on May 1, 2024.  Door to Door service is reserved for ADA eligble riders.  Download an application here.

All rides must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.  This ensures there is appropriate seating and allows for on time performance.  This will be enforced starting May 1, 2024.

All JCMTD services deviate from specified routes to provide the best service we can to our community.  Whether it is door to door or curb to curb, riders can call our dispatch number to reserve a ride to and from their home or other service area locations.  They can also access a route at one of the stops listed on this page.  When accessing at a stop just tell the driver your destination.  If for some reason you need to change your destination while onboard just inform the driver.

JCMTD has three (3) Point-Deviated Routes continually operating on a loop within Carbondale Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM and two (2) Point-Deviated Routes on Saturdays 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.  It is required to schedule rides at minimum 24 hours advanced notice.  Dispatching services is only available 8:00 AM -12:00 PM on Saturday.

JCMTD also has two Township Point-Deviated Routes transporting riders between Carbondale and Murphysboro, Monday – Friday.  

• Pick up location is at the Carbondale Township office, 217 East Main Street at 8:30am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2:00pm.   
• There are five (5) designated drop off and pick up locations in Murphysboro for transportation back to Carbondale. We stop by these locations at the top of every hour – Murphysboro Hardee’s, Jackson County Courthouse (behind building), Probation Office, Food Pantry, and Jackson County Housing Authority at 300 N. 7^th St. We stop by these 5 locations at the top of every hour.

We will also be servicing Murphysboro to Carbondale on Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM. These rides must be scheduled – we do not have scheduled pick up locations on Saturdays.
